Biography
A hard-working and determined advocate, shareholder Stephen Johnston has served Baron & Budd clients since 1997. Stephen puts his degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences to good use as an attorney with the firm's water contamination litigation section, representing individuals and communities seeking clean-up costs for contaminated water supplies. He also served for several years in the law firm's asbestos litigation group.
For Stephen, Baron & Budd was a good match for his goals to bring about justice to those who have been wronged through no fault of their own: "I saw in Baron & Budd a law firm committed to helping those injured by corporate indifference and greed. I wanted to help those who could not otherwise help themselves." MTBE Water Contamination Suit Results in Historic Settlement
Dallas, TX – (May 7, 2008) – Representing 153 public water providers, which includes municipalities, water agencies and private water companies, from 17 states, the national law firm of Baron & Budd, P.C. today announced the largest settlement to date with many of America’s leading oil companies over drinking water contamination caused by the gasoline additive Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE).
